07/08/2025, 11:02Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration Ravshanbek Sabirov announced the key results of the ministry's activities for January-May 2025. During the reporting period, the budget of social support agencies almost doubled, from 10.8 billion to 20.7 billion KGS, which indicates the growing priority of social policy in the country.
The unemployment rate fell to 1.7%, with the number of registered unemployed falling by 21% compared to the same period last year. More than 6,000 people were employed, and over 7,000 participated in active employment programs. Digitalization covers both the labor market (electronic contracts and employment records) and services for citizens with disabilities.
The “Social Contract” project is being developed to stimulate small businesses: in 2025, it is planned to support 13,334 families with up to 150,000 KGS. One successful case is an entrepreneur from At-Bashi who opened several businesses at once and created 10 jobs. The ministry emphasizes that such examples confirm the effectiveness of state support as a tool for reducing poverty and developing the economy.
