“Social Contract”: In 2026, more than 13,000 families will receive 150,000 KGS each

As of March 11, 2026, 1,825 applications to participate in the “Social Contract” program have been received across the republic. To date, social contracts have already been concluded with 607 families, with the largest number of projects — 341 — being implemented in the agricultural sector. Applications are still being accepted.

The Social Contract program, aimed at supporting low-income and poor families, has been implemented since 2022 on the initiative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Over the four years of the project's implementation, social contracts have been signed with 48,557 families who are implementing their own business initiatives. Most of the projects are in agriculture — 73.3%, 13.8% are in manufacturing, 6.7% in trade, and 6.2% in services.

Initially, the amount of social assistance under the contract was 100,000 soms, but from 2025 it was increased to 150,000 KGS. Among the families who were among the first to receive a social contract, 14 families achieved an annual income of over 1 million KGS.

It is noted that 94.2% of the project participants are women, mainly living in rural areas. As a result of the program's implementation, more than 57,000 additional jobs have been created.

In 2026, 13,333 low-income and needy families across the country will be able to receive 150,000 KGS under the Social Contract program.
