EEC Council approves cooperation project from Sberbank

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission has approved a new cooperation project and allocated a subsidy from the EAEU budget to support it. The applicant is Sberbank, and the key implementer is the Kurgan Road Machinery Plant. The project also involves companies from Belarus and Kazakhstan that supply components.

According to the EEC, the initiative is aimed at forming a value-added chain and strengthening long-term economic ties between the countries of the union. The implementation of the project will increase the production of complex road machines and garbage trucks at a new production site in Kurgan. By 2029, it is planned to establish serial production of at least 530 units of equipment per year.

The envisaged mechanism of financial support from the EAEU will make it possible to reduce interest rates on loans attracted for the implementation of cooperative projects. Thanks to subsidies, the enterprise will be able to reduce the rate from 23% to 6.5%.
