03/10/2026, 08:35The trading volume on the interbank currency market of Kyrgyzstan on March 9 increased significantly compared to the previous trading day. This follows from data on interbank transactions.
At the end of trading on March 9, the total volume of transactions amounted to $9 million. Of this amount, $7 million were transactions with settlements on the day of conclusion, and $2 million were transactions with settlements on a date other than the date of conclusion.
For comparison, on March 6, the total trading volume amounted to $7.3 million, of which $2.3 million were concluded with settlements on the day of the transaction. Thus, the demand for foreign currency on the interbank market increased by approximately 23% compared to the previous trading session.
At the same time, the dollar exchange rate on the interbank market remained stable. Both at the opening and closing of trading, the dollar was trading at 87.45 KGS.
