08/21/2026, 15:43In the first half of the year, the average monthly nominal wage in Bishkek stood at 64,293 KGS. Compared with the same period in 2025, it rose by 23 per cent. These figures were announced at a meeting of the Bishkek City Council.
At the same time, the capital has seen significant growth in the construction sector. The gross output of the construction sector reached 54.92 billion KGS, having increased 1.7-fold over the year. Bishkek’s share of the national total stood at 26.3 per cent.
The city’s industrial enterprises produced goods worth 76 billion 4 million KGS in the first half of the year. The physical volume index stood at 116.1 per cent, whilst the capital’s share of national production was 16.9 per cent.
The volume of market services amounted to 777 billion 799 million KGS, showing a 9.1 per cent increase. Bishkek accounted for 64.3 per cent of the total national volume of market services.
Meanwhile, the consumer price index in the city stood at 110.1 per cent compared with the same period in 2025.
As part of the ‘100 Industrial Enterprises – 2026’ project, there are also plans to launch four new manufacturing enterprises in Bishkek.
At the end of 2024, Bishkek’s share of Kyrgyzstan’s gross domestic product stood at 47 per cent.
