In 2025, the EAEU member states generated 1.34 trillion kWh of electricity

The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, excluding Belarus, collectively generated 1.34 trillion kWh in 2025—exactly the same amount as in 2021. Thus, the region maintains stable trends in electricity production.

According to the data, electricity production in the union fluctuated within a narrow range from 2021 to 2025.

Thus, over the past five years, the industry has shown no clear trend of growth or decline, remaining on a stable trajectory with minor fluctuations within the range of 2–3%.

The most notable growth was recorded in 2024, when production reached 1.36 trillion kWh; however, by 2025, the figure had returned to the average level of previous years.

It is important to note that starting in 2022, the statistics are presented without data from Belarus, which affects the comparability of the figures with previous periods.

We should add that, according to data from the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, by the end of 2025, electricity generation in the republic amounted to 15.4 billion kWh, while consumption reached 19.3 billion kWh. Thus, the deficit exceeded 3.8 billion kWh. It was covered by electricity imports.
