According to Kanybek Tumanbayev, the president's chief of staff, construction work on the market is proceeding according to schedule and the facility is scheduled for completion in May.
The relocation of the Osh market outside the capital's center is seen as one of the key measures to combat traffic congestion and chaotic development. Adylbek Kasymaliyev instructed that comfortable conditions be created for entrepreneurs and shoppers at the new site, including modern warehouses and spacious parking areas.
During his trip, the head of the cabinet also visited the construction site of the international-class Bishkek Arena stadium in the village of Orok. The 51,000-seat arena is being built in accordance with FIFA standards and will become the largest sports facility in the country, allowing Kyrgyzstan to host world-class events.
In designing the stadium, special emphasis was placed on accessibility for people with disabilities—appropriate areas and infrastructure are provided at all levels of the complex.
