Construction in Kyrgyzstan Dramatically Boosts Labor Productivity

In 2024, labor productivity in Kyrgyzstan’s construction sector rose by 25.8% compared to 2023, marking the highest growth rate among all economic sectors.

Construction efficiency even outpaced the service sectors: hotels and restaurants saw a 19.8% increase, wholesale and retail trade along with auto repair—13.2%, and private household activities—12%.

On the other hand, professional, scientific, and technical activities saw a 16.9% decline in productivity, arts, entertainment, and recreation—16.4%, and health and social services—8.5%.

The data show that construction was the primary driver of labor productivity growth in the Kyrgyz economy, which may be linked to the acceleration of project implementation and the optimization of work processes.
