Construction in Kyrgyzstan has increased 1.6-fold over eight months

The total gross construction output in Kyrgyzstan for January–August 2026 amounted to 300 billion 495.5 million KGS. Compared with the same period in 2025, this figure increased by 1.6 times.

In August alone, the gross construction output reached 55 billion 340.8 million KGS. This is also 1.6 times higher than the figure for August last year.

At the same time, investment in fixed assets increased. Over the first eight months of 2026, 281 billion 784.3 million KGS were invested in fixed assets. In comparable prices, this is 1.6 times more than in January–August 2025.

The most significant growth occurred in August. Investment in fixed capital for the month totalled 43,467.3 million KGS, an increase of 1.8 times compared with August 2025.

Thus, investment in fixed capital has maintained a positive trend since the start of the year. For the period January–August, the volume reached 161.2 per cent of the level recorded in the same period last year.
