Talas region surpassed Osh region in industry by 2.3 times

Despite the significant role of the Osh region in the socio-economic development of the country, its industrial production is significantly inferior to that of the Talas region. This was stated by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliyev, at the final meeting.

According to him, in 2025, the gross output of industrial products in the Talas region amounted to 51 billion KGS, while in the Osh region it was only 22.8 billion KGS, which is 2.3 times less.

In this regard, the head of the Cabinet instructed regional authorities to improve the quality of industrial products, boost exports, expand public-private partnership projects, and create more favorable conditions for investors.

"Boost investment attraction, launch major economic projects in a timely manner, and restart idle enterprises. Focus on processing agricultural products and developing high value-added industries,“ he said.

Based on the results of 2025, the activities of the Uzgen and Chon-Alai districts were rated as ”good,“ and the entire Osh region as ”satisfactory."
