The Customs Service exceeded its target by almost 5 billion KGS

The State Customs Service ended 2025 with a significant over-fulfillment of its plan. As stated by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliyev, congratulating the agency's employees on their professional holiday, actual revenues have already exceeded the approved targets by almost 5 billion KGS.

Initially, the customs service had a target of 151.7 billion KGS for 2025, which was 23% higher than the previous year. However, by December 30, the budget had received 156.6 billion KGS, which corresponds to 103.2% of the target. By the end of the year, the service expected to collect about 157 billion KGS, increasing the over-fulfillment to 5.3 billion KGS.

The government attributes this result to reforms that have consistently changed the work of customs in recent years. According to Adylbek Kasymaliyev, it is these transformations that have allowed the service to significantly increase its contribution to the revenue side of the budget and confirm the stability of the entire system.

The price of these figures is an increased workload for the service. While in 2021, approximately 113,000 declarations passed through customs, by the end of 2024, their number exceeded 630,000. Moreover, this growth occurred without an increase in staff. It was possible to cope with such a volume through digitalization, automation, and a review of internal processes.

In fact, in just a few years, customs has become one of the key sources of budget revenue. And the current figures are a clear result of this transformation.
