At the VI Eurasian Business Forum “Integration”, which took place on November 15 in Moscow, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission Arzybek Kozhoshev spoke at the plenary session “Technological sovereignty and industrial cooperation of the EAEU: mechanisms of implementation”. 

He emphasized that the topic of technological sovereignty is one of the topical issues on the agenda.

“Technological sovereignty in the modern world is becoming an important factor in ensuring sustainable development,” said Arzybek Kozhoshev. 

He also noted that energyκ and transportation not only create the physical infrastructure for economic growth, but also contribute to independence from external threats. Eurasian integration connectivity, according to the EEC Minister, becomes a competitive advantage for the states of the region.

He noted that in the context of the changing international energy landscape, the countries of the Eurasian “five” should coordinate their energy policies and work on the creation of common energy markets. It is important to develop the North-South international transportation corridor and strengthen cooperation with China, Iran, the UAE, India and the Gulf states.

“Improvement of transportation infrastructure and logistics allows to reduce the cost of delivery of energy resources and equipment, which contributes to ensuring technological sovereignty,” believes Arzybek Kozhoshev.
