Sleeping in Kyrgyzstan is set to become even more comfortable

Askona, a Russian manufacturer of sleep and home products, has entered the Kyrgyz market. The company has opened two flagship shops in Bishkek and launched a local online shop, according to reports in the Russian media.

The Askona stores are located at 94A Akhunbaev Street, above the ‘Narodny’ supermarket, and in the ‘Ay Grand’ shopping centre at 20/1 Isakeev Street. In addition, residents of Kyrgyzstan can order goods via the company’s local website, with delivery available in Bishkek and other regions of the country.

According to Russian media reports, the company does not plan to invest heavily in marketing in Kyrgyzstan during the initial phase. Askona intends to test organic demand, traffic and its business model in the new market. In the future, the company is considering expanding its network through a franchise model.

In Kyrgyzstan, Askona offers not only mattresses and sleep-related products, but also beds, sofas, armchairs, textiles, furniture and children’s bedroom items. The company’s product range has expanded significantly in recent years: the Russian group is focusing on comprehensive home furnishings.

As of April 2026, the Askona network comprised around 860 shops, of which approximately 380 were company-owned. The company is developing a franchise network across the CIS countries, including Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
