11/22/2024, 14:08Ruslan Davydov, Minister for Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, spoke at the plenary session of the International Conference of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union about the transformation of customs regulation in the EAEU and promising areas of work for its further improvement.
Among them - amendments to the Customs Code of the EAEU, implementation of the agreement on the use of electronic navigation seals, signing an agreement on a unified system of customs transit.
“Effective implementation of these tools and ensuring a unified customs regulation will contribute to reducing the incidence of barriers in the EAEU,” Ruslan Davydov noted. - Freedom of movement of goods in the EAEU is impossible without unified customs regulation”.
The EEC Minister also drew attention to the importance of progressive movement forward in the improvement of customs legislation, which has been repeatedly stated by the leaders of the Union and which is enshrined in the Declaration on the Further Development of Economic Processes within the Eurasian Economic Union for the period up to 2030-2045.
At the thematic session “Customs Regulation and Development of the EAEU Internal Market” Ruslan Davydov spoke about the interaction of the EEC customs block with the EAEU Court.
“The issues of classification of certain types of goods are one of the main subjects of appeals to the EEU Court on customs regulation,” said the EEC Minister. - At the same time, out of 200 classification decisions adopted by the Commission for the entire period of the Union's functioning, only 10% of them were appealed in the EAEU Court”.
