07/21/2025, 14:47On July 21, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov made a statement to the media following talks with Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, who arrived in Bishkek on his first state visit. The heads of state announced the transition of bilateral relations to a new level — a comprehensive partnership, which was confirmed by a joint declaration.
The talks took place in an open and constructive atmosphere. A wide range of issues were discussed, from political and economic to humanitarian. The parties expressed their readiness to increase trade, support investment initiatives, and deepen industrial cooperation, including in the mining industry and transport logistics. The Kyrgyz-Mongolian business forum should help strengthen ties between companies in both countries.
Special attention was paid to cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture, and the preservation of historical and cultural heritage. The parties agreed to expand academic and youth exchanges. They also confirmed their readiness to cooperate in the international arena, including supporting each other's initiatives at the UN and promoting Mongolia's economic integration with the EAEU.
