    Trade turnover between China's Hebei Province and Central Asian countries has increased by 110% since the beginning of the year

    According to the results of the first five months of this year, trade between Hebei Province in northern China and five Central Asian countries increased 2.1 times. This was reported by the Xinhua news agency.

    In particular, exports from the province increased by 100% to 2.5 billion yuan, while imports of foreign goods amounted to 530 million yuan, an increase of 160%.

    During the reporting period, trade turnover between the province and Kazakhstan reached 1.53 billion yuan, an increase of 130%, with Uzbekistan – 860 million yuan, an increase of 81.4%, with Kyrgyzstan – 400 million yuan, an increase of 87.4%, with Tajikistan – 120 million yuan, up 230%, and with Turkmenistan – 120 million yuan, up 120%.

    The list of goods in demand from Central Asia includes sunflower oil from Kazakhstan and raw cowhide from Kyrgyzstan. The volume of their supplies to Hebei Province amounted to 160 million and 38 million yuan, with an increase of 72.6% and 54.4%, respectively.

    From January to May this year, the volume of car exports from this province to Central Asian countries amounted to 580 million yuan, increasing 2.4 times compared to the same period last year.
