Transport services in Kyrgyzstan could grow by 2.9 per cent in 2027

Growth in transport and freight storage services in Kyrgyzstan is forecast at 2.9 per cent in 2027. This is stated in the explanatory note to the draft national budget for 2027.

In 2028, the sector is expected to grow by 3.2 per cent, and in 2029 by 2.5 per cent.

The increase in the volume of transport services is planned to be achieved through the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, as well as the expansion of the country’s transit capabilities.

The document also provides for the development of civil aviation, the improvement of aviation safety standards and the modernisation of aviation infrastructure.

In addition, the authorities are counting on the modernisation of border infrastructure and the simplification of border crossing procedures.

A separate focus will be the development of international transport corridors and the increase in Kyrgyzstan’s transit potential.
