One third of all female tourists in Uzbekistan are from Kyrgyzstan

The National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan reports that in January–July, 45.5% of tourists visiting the country were women. Kyrgyz women occupy the leading position.

According to the Statistics Committee, 2.9 million foreign women visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes. This figure increased by 696,700 people, or 31.9%, compared to the same period last year.

In terms of countries, Kyrgyzstan ranks first in the rating — 959,100 women (33.3%) from our country visited Uzbekistan. In second place are Kazakh women — 781,700 people (27.2%); and in third place are Tajik women — 595,500 people (20.7%).

    The first resource centre in Kyrgyzstan to support mothers and children, called ‘Mother's House,’ has opened in Bishkek. The centre was established with the support of the international private foundation Mothers Home International Foundation (MHIF) and has become an important social initiative aimed at supporting women in difficult life situations.
