05/09/2025, 09:15On May 7, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service conducted a price monitoring of cement following instructions from the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, A.A. Kasymaliev.
As part of the monitoring, the agency held meetings with market participants to explain the importance of preventing unjustified price increases.
Key findings:
The Terek-Tash plant is scheduled to resume operations on May 15. The Kant cement plant is operating normally, prioritizing deliveries for infrastructure projects and public needs, including the State Mortgage Company (GIK).
Some factories raised prices by 10–20 soms, while others kept them unchanged. Most of the cement is being supplied to large buyers, including GIK, which has led to reduced availability and price growth on the secondary market.
Monitoring and outreach activities were also conducted in the regions. In some areas, prices even decreased.
Daily monitoring will continue.
