The selling price also decreased slightly, from 299,855.5 to 298,675 KGS, which is a decrease of 1,180.5 KGS (about 0.39%).
The changes in precious metal prices reflect the overall cooling of demand in global markets amid expectations of interest rate hikes and dollar fluctuations. Nevertheless, gold remains a popular savings instrument, especially in unstable economic conditions.
For comparison, price declines are also observed in other weight categories of bullion. However, the troy ounce is traditionally used as the base measure of value in the international market, and its dynamics serve as the main indicator of price movements.
