Prices for gold bars continued to rise

Last week, the price of a one-troy-ounce (31.1035 g) gold bar in Kyrgyzstan showed steady growth.

From 28 to 30 April, the buyback price increased from 289.303.00 to 291.729.50 som, and the selling price rose to 296.105.50 som.

The buyback price rose by 0.84% over three days. The price increase comes amid global demand for safe-haven assets: gold remains a popular instrument among investors concerned about global inflation and geopolitical risks.

Within the country, the dollar-som exchange rate remained stable, so changes in bullion prices mainly reflect external factors. The troy ounce continues to serve as a barometer of market sentiment and remains relevant as a store of value.
