Prices in Kyrgyzstan rose by 0.8% in August

In August 2026, consumer prices in Kyrgyzstan rose by 0.8% compared with July. Since the start of the year, compared with December 2025, inflation stood at 7.6%.

Food and non-alcoholic drinks rose in price by an average of 0.5% over the month.

Among food products, meat prices rose the most — by 2.4%. Bottled milk and instant natural coffee rose by 1.1 per cent, whilst buckwheat and oils and fats rose by 1.0 per cent. Prices for eggs rose by 0.7 per cent, flour by 0.6 per cent, tea by 0.5 per cent and flatbread by 0.4 per cent.

At the same time, some food items became cheaper. Mineral water fell in price by 2.3 per cent, rice by 1.1 per cent, and bread made from first-grade wheat flour by 1.0 per cent. Beef liver fell in price by 0.4 per cent, and granulated sugar by 0.1 per cent.
