10/09/2025, 11:26The Central Election and Referendum Commission of Kyrgyzstan has announced a tender for the purchase of cartridges and paper for printing ballots worth 87.4 million KGS.
According to the published documentation, the purchase includes 16,640 inkjet cartridges and 18,000 rolls of paper. Suppliers are required to provide samples before the tender bids are opened.
While the electoral system is gradually being digitised, the process will not become fully electronic. Digitisation will only affect data processing and transmission, which is handled by the state-owned enterprise Kyzmat, responsible for creating a single voter register and transmitting information to the CEC in real time. Voting itself, however, will continue to be conducted in the traditional manner, on paper.
