Karakol's tourist areas will be patrolled on electric scooters

In Karakol, electric scooters are planned to be used for patrolling tourist areas and ensuring public safety. The city government has announced a public procurement for 10 electric vehicles with a total cost of 856,000 KGS.

According to the procurement documentation, the electric scooters are specifically intended for patrolling tourist areas and ensuring public safety in the city. For this purpose, the municipality intends to purchase 10 electric scooters, and the supplier must deliver the vehicles within five business days after the contract is signed.

The use of compact electric vehicles will allow officers to move more quickly through pedestrian and recreational areas, where the use of cars is often difficult. In addition, electric scooters are a more environmentally friendly mode of transportation.

The technical specifications call for the delivery of white electric scooters that meet the established requirements. The supplier must provide a one-year warranty for each scooter and, in the event of manufacturing defects, must repair the malfunction or replace the vehicle within three business days.

Four suppliers submitted bids for the procurement. The lowest price—670,000 KGS—was offered by sole proprietor Saykal Asykbekova. Bids were also submitted by KyrgyzVELD LLC (719,000 KGS), sole proprietor Kylichbek Chomoev (745,000 KGS), and sole proprietor Syrgak Askarbekov (800,000 KGS).
