Representatives from 33 countries have already confirmed their participation in the International Symposium ‘Creating the Future’

The first event of the ‘Russia’ National Centre - the International Symposium ‘Creating the Future’ - will be a unique platform for interstate dialogue, where participants will have an opportunity to discuss current problems and develop ways of projecting a joint future.

Representatives from 33 countries have confirmed their participation in the Symposium. The outstanding speakers of the event will be former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, expert of the Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis Laxman Kumar Behera from India, Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Canada John Stewart Durrant, fiction writer Roberto Quaglia from Italy, President of the Centre for the Restoration of International Law Goran Petronijevic from Serbia and other distinguished guests.

The Symposium brings together foreign speakers from almost all continents - this will create an open platform for the experience and knowledge exchange between representatives of different cultures and countries.

The international track is a significant area of the Symposium, which will contribute to international cooperation and mutual understanding between countries, providing an opportunity to form new ties and partnerships.

‘Symposium participants will discuss the global future of international law, the rapidly changing role of international organisations in regulating world politics, and the interaction between countries of the Global South and the large economies of the North.’ The discussions of the sessions will be devoted to the prospects of a peaceful neighbourhood for the peoples of the planet from the point of view of building a multipolar and just world order. In addition, the speakers will touch upon the development of breakthrough digital technologies in international law and other important issues of modern international relations,‘ Tatiana Kareva, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organisation “Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements ”Russia’ said.

On 1 July 2024, President Vladimir Putin signed an order to establish the National Centre ‘Russia’ to preserve the legacy of the International  Exhibition and Forum ‘Russia’ and demonstrate the country's achievements permanently.

From 4 to 6 November, the National Centre ‘Russia’ will host the International Symposium ‘Creating the Future’. Its participants will be scientists and researchers, futurologists and forecasters, science fiction writers and representatives of the authorities.

As part of the opening of the Symposium, an exhibition will be launched, which will support the idea of dialogue about the future of the world, with the human being at the heart of it. The exhibition will allow each visitor to realise the importance of personal contribution to the future and arouse the desire to become involved in its creation.
