05/21/2026, 10:55In the first three months of the year, participants in the Kyrgyzstan Deposit Insurance Fund contributed 366.3 million KGS to the deposit insurance system.
By comparison, contributions during the same period in 2025 totaled 258.1 million KGS. Thus, the volume of contributions from banks and other participants in the system increased by approximately 42%.
In addition, the fund received another 10 million KGS as future replenishments.
For the full year 2025, contributions from participants in the Deposit Protection Fund totaled 1.2 billion KGS, compared to 860.9 million the previous year.
At the same time, the fund continues to actively manage its assets through securities and deposit transactions. According to the report, in January–March 2026, the fund allocated more than 8 billion KGS to the purchase of securities, while the volume of redemptions of previously purchased securities amounted to about 7.7 billion KGS.
As a reminder, the Deposit Protection Fund provides guaranteed payments to bank depositors in the event of a claim.
