Strengthened control on the road. Over 500 thousand carriers were checked for 9 months

For 9 months of 2024, the Department of Land and Water Transport of the Ministry of Transport checked 520.8 thousand vehicles engaged in passenger and freight transport. The inspections revealed 6.1 thousand violations of transport legislation requirements.

Reportedly, the total amount of revenues to the budget was 86.2 million KGS, almost twice as much compared to the analogous period of 2023, when 44.9 million KGS were collected.

The main inspections were aimed at controlling compliance with international agreements, and passenger transport rules and detecting cases of overloading of vehicles. The activities were carried out at transport control points, station facilities, and terminals of bus routes, as well as by mobile groups.
