01/22/2026, 11:32In 2025, Kyrgyz citizens received approximately 2/9 million KGS in compensation for violations of labor rights by employers. This was reported by the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, Muradil Dzhumadilde uulu.
According to him, at the end of the year, there were 38 fatalities and 47 cases of occupational injuries. However, these figures only include incidents in which the victims sought help.
“These are only those who turned to us. Unfortunately, this is a large number. The main cause of accidents is a violation of safety regulations in the workplace. Therefore, one of our key tasks is to create safe and comfortable working conditions,” said Muradil Dzhumadilde uulu.
In 2025, labor inspectors conducted about 1,300 scheduled inspections at enterprises across the country. According to trade unions, the prevention of violations and monitoring of compliance with occupational safety standards remain the most effective tools for reducing risks to workers.
