In 2025, 44.59 MW of capacity was introduced into the energy sector through small hydropower plants

In 2025, eight small hydropower plants were commissioned: Aksy, Boz-Uchuk, Koy-Suu, Ysyk-Ata-2, Kara-Kulskaya, Kozho-Kayyr, Shamshi, and Kurak-Tektir-2.

Currently, solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 101.95 MW are operating throughout the country. Another piece of positive news was the signing of investment agreements with companies for the construction of five solar power plants and one wind power plant with a total capacity of 3,150 MW. The total investment amounted to $4.215 billion.

Overall, in 2025, 44.59 MW of capacity was added to the energy sector through small hydropower plants and 101.22 MW of capacity through solar power plants.
