A 75-bed children’s hospital is being built in Batken, and construction of a 350-bed regional hospital is due to begin in 2027

At the Chet-Bulak district administration in Batken, a time capsule was laid in the foundations of a new 75-bed children’s hospital, which will meet modern standards and be equipped with all the necessary facilities.

The ceremony was attended by Mamyrzhan Rakhimov, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic’s Plenipotentiary Representative in the Batken Region; Kalybek Zhumadylov, Executive Director of the Agency for Community Development and Investment (ARIS), the Mayor of Batken, Seйтеk Kulubaev, heads of regional and municipal institutions and enterprises, healthcare workers and local residents.

Speaking at the event, the regional governor noted that the start of construction is an important milestone for the Batken Region.

He also announced that, with the support of President Sadyr Zhaparov, construction of a 350-bed regional hospital is scheduled to begin in 2027.

Mamyrzhan Rakhimov expressed his gratitude to ARIS on behalf of the residents of the Batken Region for its contribution to addressing the region’s social issues.

It is noted that, with the support of ARIS, a number of important social facilities have already been completed and put into operation in the region’s districts and towns. Construction work is continuing in some settlements.

In addition, projects to provide the population with clean drinking water are being implemented in dozens of villages.
