Construction of the 110/35/10 kV Suu-Bashy substation has begun in the city of Batken. The project aims to ensure a stable power supply to border settlements, as well as residential and infrastructure facilities under construction, including new neighborhoods, state housing, and a Russian school.

The substation will cover an area of 500 square meters and will serve such facilities as the village of Zhan Dostuk, the Batken City microdistrict (800 hectares), the Asman-1 and Asman-2 mortgage houses, a 10,000-seat stadium, and the Chet-Bulak areas. There are also plans to supply electricity to the Kara-Bulak, Kara-Tokoy-1 and 2, Shirech, and Batken central substations.

The estimated cost of construction is 67.6 million KGS, of which 53% (35.8 million KGS) is financed by the Batken City Council, and the remaining 47% (31.8 million KGS) by OJSC “NESK”. The work is being carried out by the Batken branch of the company. Commissioning is scheduled for October 2025.

The capsule laying ceremony was attended by the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Taalaibek Ibraev, the President's Special Representative in the Batken Region, Alisher Shamenov, the Deputy Head of NESK, Duysho Uulu Ularbek, and the Mayor of Batken, Talai Abykeev.
