09/10/2026, 11:55Work on the construction and repair of roads is continuing in the Batken Region. This year, the region plans to asphalt 146 kilometres of roads; 1 billion 241 million KGS have been allocated from the national budget for this purpose.
The works are funded from the national budget and are being carried out by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
In the Batken District and the city of Batken, construction and asphalting of a number of important road sections are currently underway.
Specifically:
In addition, construction of the major road projects Sary-Talaa–Kyzyl-Tash–Zardaly and Min-Oruk–Samarkandek is continuing in the Batken District.
During an inspection of the road works, Baktybek Toksonsbaev, First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Batken Region, drew attention to the quality of construction, compliance with design requirements and the timeliness of the works.
According to the President’s Plenipotentiary Representative in the Batken Region, the implementation of these road projects should improve the region’s transport links and create the conditions for its further socio-economic development.
