05/13/2026, 16:26The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) has announced the uncovering of a corruption scheme relating to land legislation in the Kadamzhai District of Batken Region. According to the security service, former officials illegally allocated land plots for housing construction.

The case involves former senior officials of the Ak-Turpak Aiyl Okmotu who, according to the investigation, used their official positions to illegally grant land to citizens for the purpose of personal enrichment.
As part of the investigation, the former officials, ‘S.M.M.’ and ‘M.Sh.M.’, have been charged with criminal offences. The court has ordered them to be placed under house arrest.
The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) has reported that investigative and operational measures are currently ongoing to identify other possible participants in the scheme.
