05/16/2026, 17:35Renovation work on the overpass at the intersection of Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue and Lev Tolstoy Street began today in Bishkek.
Due to the repair work, the junction from Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue to Lev Tolstoy Street, as well as from Lev Tolstoy Street to Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue, is temporarily closed.
The traffic restrictions will remain in effect until July 15.
The work will involve the dismantling of outdated structures, including the removal of cladding and sidewalk paving.
One of the key components will be the renewal of the cladding using modern materials—the installation of ventilated facades and decorative panels.
The restoration of surfaces is also planned: the construction of reinforced concrete steps and ramps, the formation of base layers, and the laying of granite slabs.
A separate phase of work involves the modernization of the engineering infrastructure—laying new cable lines, replacing lighting equipment, and installing energy-efficient LED fixtures.
The final stage will include finishing work and the installation of stainless steel railings.
