07/14/2026, 13:10In Bishkek, restrictions remain in place on the movement of lorries with a maximum authorised mass exceeding 18 tonnes when the air temperature reaches 28°C or higher.
Under the established rules, on hot days, the movement of heavy goods vehicles on the city’s municipal roads is restricted daily from 09:00 to 19:00.
The measure is in force from 20 May to 1 October 2026 and is aimed at preserving the road surface, which is subjected to increased stress in high temperatures, as well as at improving road safety.
Municipal authorities are urging drivers and transport companies to take the current restrictions into account when planning routes and, where possible, to avoid journeys by heavy goods vehicles during the hottest part of the day.
