Bishkek and the Nizhny Novgorod Region discussed the development of public transport

On 17 October, a meeting took place in Bishkek between the city’s deputy mayor, Ramiz Aliyev, and the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin. The parties discussed the development of public transport, improving the quality of services and modernising the city’s transport infrastructure.

Particular attention was paid to renewing the rolling stock, introducing modern, environmentally friendly vehicles and improving the efficiency of public transport. Ramiz Aliyev emphasised that Bishkek is keen to study best practice and implement solutions that will bring practical benefits to the city’s residents.

The meeting participants also discussed the prospects for joint projects, attracting investment and introducing modern transport technologies, taking into account Bishkek’s infrastructure and specific characteristics.
