10/07/2026, 12:02Since the start of the year, 150 reports have been issued in Bishkek for vehicles exceeding the established limits for harmful emissions. The total amount of fines imposed has reached 1,939,500 KGS.
The inspections are being carried out by the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service under the Ministry of Natural Resources, in conjunction with the Main Directorate for Road Safety.
During the latest operation, 10 vehicles were inspected. Two of them were found to exceed the permissible exhaust emission limits, following which the owners were fined.
At the same time, raids are taking place in the capital to monitor the sale, storage and use of fine-grained coal (0–13 mm). There are currently 11 coal depots and 33 permanent coal sales points operating in Bishkek.
These measures are being taken to reduce emissions of harmful substances and improve air quality in the capital.
