08/26/2025, 14:57President Sadyr Zhaparov has signed a decree on the construction of a medical complex that will bring together leading state healthcare organisations. The project has been declared a strategic task and a priority for implementation in the medium term.
The construction and equipping of the complex will be financed through the gradual privatisation of medical facilities in Bishkek that require renovation, as well as private investment and support from international organisations. If necessary, part of the funds will be allocated from the republican budget. The relocation of state medical organisations to the new complex will take place in stages and should be completed within two years after the privatisation of their current buildings.
The Presidential Administration will be responsible for managing the project. Within six months, the Cabinet of Ministers, together with the Bishkek City Council, must determine the location of the complex, approve the project concept and the plan for relocating the medical institutions. Special attention will be paid to buildings that are historical and cultural heritage sites.
