The Sverdlovsk, Pervomaiskaya, Leninskaya, and Oktyabrskaya district administrations, together with representatives of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, the Veterinary Service, tax authorities, and other authorized bodies, regularly conduct raids and monitoring activities in the city's markets and retail outlets.
Inspections are carried out at the Osh, Orto-Sai, and Alamedi markets, as well as at the Dordoi and Aziz markets, large stores, and retail outlets.
During the monitoring, explanatory work is carried out with entrepreneurs and sellers on the inadmissibility of unjustified price increases and the need to comply with the established maximum retail prices. Particular attention is paid to compliance with the maximum price of beef and lamb, which is no more than 680 soms per kilogram.
Measures to expand trade in meat products at socially significant prices are also being considered, including the allocation of retail space without intermediaries and the opening of additional sales outlets.
As a reminder, in connection with the termination of wholesale trade in meat products at the Osh market from January 14, 2026, a new meat pavilion, “Chuigun,” has begun operating on the territory of the “Altyn-Taka” livestock market, intended for the wholesale sale of meat and fully complying with sanitary and veterinary requirements. Currently, wholesale trade in meat products is carried out in the Chuygun pavilion.
At the same time, meat is sold at retail prices in the same area in the Taza Adal Et retail pavilion, where local residents can purchase high-quality and safe meat products.
Buyers have the opportunity to purchase meat at both wholesale and retail prices.
Current wholesale prices for meat: lamb — 640–680 soms, beef — 640–680 soms, horse meat — 540–560 soms. Retail prices start at 660 soms.
