Young parents in Kyrgyzstan will begin to receive training in financial and digital literacy

Kyrgyzstan has approved regulations on the development of training programs and short-term courses for young parents. The relevant decision was signed by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev. The document aims not only to strengthen the institution of the family, but also to improve the financial and digital literacy of young families.

According to the approved procedure, training will be provided to citizens under the age of 35 who are getting married or already raising children. The courses will focus on developing skills in family budget planning, rational management of income and expenses, and mastering the digital tools necessary for everyday life, from online payments to the use of government e-services.

The programs pay special attention to responsible parenting, effective communication within the family, and the development of emotional intelligence. According to the developers, this knowledge should contribute to the financial stability of households and reduce social risks.

Training will take place without interruption from work in the format of short-term two-day courses. Low-income young families will be given priority for enrollment. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate.

The organization of courses and the development of training programs has been entrusted to the authorized state body in the field of youth policy. It will also form annual training effectiveness indicators, publish reports, and provide methodological support at the local level. Funding will come from the approved budgets of state and local government bodies, as well as other sources not prohibited by law.

The inclusion of financial and digital literacy in the training system for young parents reflects a broader trend toward increasing the economic independence of households.
