A modern slaughterhouse has been put into operation in the Chon-Alai district

On 25 December, a modern slaughterhouse that complies with current sanitary and veterinary requirements began operating in the village of Daroot-Korgon in the Chon-Alai district. The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, took part in the online opening ceremony.

The event was also attended by representatives of local authorities, entrepreneurs, veterinary service employees, farmers and village residents.

It is reported that the new facility fully complies with sanitary and hygienic standards. Slaughtering is carried out in accordance with international standards and is under constant veterinary control, which ensures the safety and quality of meat products.

During the opening, it was noted that the launch of the slaughterhouse will create more convenient conditions for farmers in the region, simplify the sale of products and contribute to the development of livestock farming in the Chon-Alai district.

The enterprise will provide several permanent jobs and have a positive impact on economic activity at the local level. The plant is equipped with modern equipment, as well as technologies for waste processing and reducing the burden on the environment.

The management of the enterprise announced that there are plans to expand production volumes in the future, as well as to launch services for the processing and packaging of meat products.

According to the Kyrgyz Republic Statistical Yearbook for 2025, in 2024 their number reached 5,724, compared to 4,264 a year earlier. Almost three-quarters of them are companies with full foreign capital participation, their number increased from 3,072 to 4,212.
