    In the Jalal-Abad region, 2,606 students were expelled from universities

    In the Jalal-Abad region, during an inspection of higher education institutions, cases of fictitious education of students who are outside the country and do not participate in the educational process were revealed. As a result of the inspection, 2,606 students were expelled. This was reported by the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.

    Specifically, 1,142 students were expelled from Jalal-Abad State University, including 167 foreign citizens, 895 from the International University, 497 from the Modern International University, 58 from the Central Asian International Medical University, and 14 from Jalal-Abad International University.

    Meetings were also held with the heads and teaching staff of these universities to explain and prevent corruption risks.

    Furthermore, changes were initiated to the statutes of universities and regulations on distance learning, expanding the functions of practice and inspection departments, as well as training departments to conduct cross-checks before accepting practice reports.
