A logistics centre for fruit storage is being built in the Jalal-Abad region

Construction has begun on a logistics warehouse for fruit storage in the Ala-Buki district of the Jalal-Abad region.

The new facility, designed to hold 400 tonnes, is being built by a private entrepreneur with support from state financial sources.

The total investment amounts to 9 million KGS. Once operational, the storage facility will house local fruits such as cherries, apples and plums. This will create additional opportunities for farmers in the region, allowing them to preserve their harvest in good quality and sell it on the market without losses.

According to the plan, the facility will be fully ready by the start of the 2025 season. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry considers the development of processing and trade and logistics infrastructure to be one of its priorities. Modern warehouses for storing fruit and vegetables are being built in various regions of the country.

Such logistics facilities play an important role in preserving the quality of agricultural products, creating added value and promoting products on both domestic and foreign markets.
