Established in March under the Commission's Consultative Committee on Customs Regulation, the working group comprises over 80 members, half of whom represent the business community that initiated its formation. The session focused on the current state of the tobacco and nicotine-containing product markets across the EAEU, discussing trends and the dynamics of illegal trade in this sector.
Additionally, practical approaches such as the use of navigation seals for tracking automotive shipments of these products were examined.
Delegates proposed priority measures to combat the illegal tobacco circulation within the Union, which will be further developed within the Commission’s platform, involving authorized agencies from EAEU member countries.
