Fines imposed in the Issyk-Ata district for the illegal extraction of sand and gravel

In the village of Sary-Zhon, Uzun-Kyr aiyl okmotu, Issyk-Ata district, a case of illegal exploitation of natural resources has been uncovered. According to the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision, sand and gravel were being extracted from the bed of a small river without the necessary permit.

Inspectors drew up a report on the offence. Those responsible have been held accountable in accordance with the Code of Offences of the Kyrgyz Republic. The fine imposed amounted to 10,000 KGS.

In addition, staff from the department’s Chui Regional Directorate carried out awareness-raising work on compliance with legislation regarding the use of natural resources and the prevention of similar violations in the future.
