The first pilot section is the stretch from Manas Avenue to Molodaya Gvardiya Boulevard. Here, experts are assessing the effectiveness of the installed dividers, their impact on road safety, and the comfort of cyclists and motorists.
Following the trial period, an analysis will be carried out, taking into account feedback from residents and users of the cycling infrastructure. Based on the data obtained, the authorities will decide whether to extend the project to other streets in the city.
The second phase will cover the section of Toktogul Street from Manas Avenue to Abdrakhmanov Street. During the trial, the shape and design of the dividers may also be adjusted to select the safest and most convenient option.
The aim of the initiative is to improve safety for cyclists and develop modern urban transport infrastructure in Bishkek.
