Over the past five years, more than 8 billion KGS have been invested in industrial enterprises in Kant

Between 2021 and 2026, three major industrial enterprises were opened in Kant, with investments totalling more than 8 billion KGS. These new facilities have created 944 jobs. This was announced on 7 November during President Sadyr Zhaparov’s working visit to the Chui Region.

The largest investment was made in OJSC ‘Kant Cement Plant’ – 5.25 billion KGS. The enterprise has created 736 jobs.

1.92 billion KGS were invested in ‘Stilex’ LLC, creating 80 jobs. A further 962 million KGS were invested in the ‘BekemBlock’ enterprise, where 128 people were employed.

The authorities have also outlined plans for the further development of the city’s industry. Among the promising projects is the creation of a new light industry zone. According to data presented to the Head of State, there are already potential investors interested in the project.

In addition, the construction of a waste treatment plant is under consideration.

At the same time, to ensure the city’s development, wastewater management issues must be resolved. In particular, it is necessary to build treatment facilities for Kant’s sewage and to lay sewerage networks in the city and the village of Luxembourg.

Separately, plans to modernise the city’s infrastructure were discussed during the visit. These include the purchase of 40 buses and the construction of a new municipal market.
