He inspected the progress of construction work on the sewage treatment facilities in Karakol. According to the city council, demolition work has now been completed, groundworks for the new facilities have been carried out, a warehouse and an administrative building have been constructed, and the necessary equipment has been installed. Construction is scheduled to be fully completed this autumn.
The Prime Minister, Adylbek Kasymaliev, then inspected the progress of construction on the new conference centre in the city. The conference centre, with a total capacity of 1,500 seats, comprises a main hall, an additional hall, a conference room and a library.
In addition, he inspected the progress of construction of a new sports complex in Karakol. The multi-purpose sports complex is being built on a 12-hectare site and will have a capacity of 5,000 seats. It will also include an Olympic-standard swimming pool, a 200-room hotel and a sports boarding school with 275 places.
It is worth noting that around 100,000 people currently live in Karakol. Last year, the town welcomed around 300,000 tourists, which is almost three times its population. Over the past few years, the city has been undergoing a modernisation of its road infrastructure, with new housing under construction, water supply and sewerage systems being developed, and tourism and transport infrastructure being taken to a new level.
Following an inspection of the progress of the construction works, the Prime Minister, Adylbek Kasymaliev, issued a number of instructions to the relevant state bodies and the city council. The Prime Minister emphasised the need to ensure high-quality construction work and strict adherence to the deadlines set for the commissioning of the facilities.
