Kyrgyzstan received almost 319 billion KGS in remittances over the course of the year

In 2025, residents of Kyrgyzstan’s regions received remittances totalling 318.6 billion KGS. Almost two-thirds of this amount went to Bishkek and the Osh Region.

Around 10.64 million incoming transactions were processed over the course of the year. The average amount per transfer was approximately 29,900 KGS.

Bishkek received the most money – 110.7 billion KGS, or 34.7 per cent of the total. The Osh region came second with 91.6 billion KGS, or 28.8 per cent. The Jalal-Abad region received a further 57.7 billion KGS.

Thus, Bishkek, the Osh and Jalal-Abad regions accounted for around 81.6 per cent of all incoming transfers. The Naryn region received the least amount of funds – approximately 80 times less than the capital.

The highest quarterly volume was recorded in the third quarter – 90.2 billion KGS. In the first quarter, the regions received 68 billion KGS; in the second, 82.5 billion KGS; and in the fourth, 77.9 billion KGS.

During the same period, 59.9 billion KGS were sent from the regions. Incoming remittances exceeded outgoing remittances by 258.8 billion KGS.

The figures for the third and fourth quarters are designated as provisional by the National Bank. The figures reflect remittances recorded in the regulatory reporting of commercial banks and do not equate to the aggregate income of the regional population.
