07/07/2025, 13:06During a working visit to the Vologda Region of Russia, a bilateral meeting was held between Ulugbek Kozhoberegnov, Director of the Veterinary, Livestock Development, Pastures and Feed Service, and Maxim Uvaidov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of livestock breeding and veterinary medicine.
During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas for bilateral cooperation in the agro-industrial sector, including the development of livestock breeding, improvement of the veterinary control system, and strengthening the scientific and educational potential of the industry. Particular attention was paid to the training and professional development of specialists in the field of veterinary medicine and animal husbandry, the development of scientific research and the organisation of exchanges of experience between relevant institutions in the two countries.
The parties agreed to implement joint projects aimed at developing livestock breeding in Kyrgyzstan, introducing modern genetic technologies and creating conditions for sustainable growth and modernisation of the industry.
The Russian side expressed its readiness to provide the Kyrgyz side with a list of breeding farms and available breeding material suitable for selection work and improving the productivity of local breeds of farm animals.
Following the meeting, Maxim Uvaidov invited Ulugbek Kozhoberegnov to Russia to continue and deepen the agreements reached.
